I'm getting the same error. I installed LW on Redhat 7.1 and had no problems, but now I'm getting this error on Redhat 7.2. Is LW broken in 7.2? |
same thing for me ... Running RedHat 7.2, jdk1.3.1 The problem seems to be with Java and glibc somewhere. Any fixes for that? Does anyone from Lime Wire even bother to read these requests? burger@/root> ./LimeWireLinux.bin Preparing to install... Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive... Check your jre. Looks like the classpath isn't set correctly. |

Try this: ~/CLASSPATH=[path to rt.jar or classes.zip] ~/export CLASSPATH and if it still won't work, check if you don't have multiple JREs installed on your computer, for if so, it might be that the wrong JRE is used by default. Or you could simply download LimeWire without Installer (there is such a version for Linux) and unpack it into the archive you would like it to be. |

No runlime.class in 1.8c In the new version of limewire 1.8c the file: RunLime.class is missing. I'm using the version without installer. Just copy the "RunLime.class" from the earlier version. Without this file limewire can't launch. |
The File is not missing, it is included in RunLime.jar |
Limewire without installer I am using linux and would like to get a hold of the current version without the installer. Where can I find it? The old version had it listed on d/l page, but the new one does not. Please direct me to its location. Thanks |
