See the sticky post

Hi,

See the sticky post http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...-limewire.html . Although he talks about mandriva linux. Its applicable to ubuntu as well. In that post he assumes xnest is installed in your machine. But, in my m/c with ubuntu feisty fawn i dont have xnest installed. If you are using feisty, then probably you may not have xnest installed. To install xnest type
Code:

$ sudo apt-get install xnest
There seems to a problem with java applications (limewire) interacting with aiglx extension. Since feisty comes with compiz desktop effects enabled by default, aiglx is installed in your m/c. To overcome this we need xnest. After this following the instruction there should be straight forward.
