lol.......

Heh, Linux runs just as well as FreeBSD. All problems are almost always because of users inexperience with Linux, and NOT Linux itself. Don't put down another fellow Unix flavour, it's just wrong. Putting down M$ on the other hand...

FreeBSD

I use FreeBSD/Linux Mandrake 8.1.
I really prefer FreeBSD, however I have an NVidia card, and NVidia + FreeBSD = no worky. Besides they both kick M$ is the ***.

I'm running 4.5-RC and XFree86 4.1.0 with a GeForce2 MX 200. It works fine for me.

Hey anti-bearshare, do you have OpenGL support with your NVidia card and FreeBSD? Can you run games like Quake 3 arena, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein on FreeBSD? From what I understand, it can be done, and I'm not trying to gloat. I'm just curious if anyone has succeeded with it.

anti-bearshare January 22nd, 2002 08:12 PM

I couple of people have told me they've done it. But I dont really play games like that so its not a high priority, but still it would be cool. Anyways there are lots of stuff in the works.

check out.
