LimeWire won't run after installation
 

My name is Eddy Reyes.
I am running Linux Mandrake 8.0 kernel version 2.4.3-20mdk and jdk version 1.3.1_01

I was able run the install script without any problem. The program installed to my home directory and I made that I owned all the files.

However, when I try to execute the script runLime.sh, the splash screen comes up and then the program terminates with this error:

runLime.sh: line 5: 3454 Segmentation fault java -jar RunLime.jar

Does anyone why this occurs?

I had the same problem. Despite what it says in the documentation Limewire doesn't seem to run with jdk1.3.1 (I've tried both 1.3.1_01 and 1.3.1_02).

It does however work fine with the latest release candidate for jdk1.4.0, which you can download from http://www.java.sun.com
