Err
 

this must get annoying for people who know what they are doing but i've installed java runtime and the development kit... because somone said that would set your path automatically... but when ever i try to run the limewirelinux.bin file i still get this:

[ethan@localhost ethan]$ cd stuff
[ethan@localhost stuff]$ dir
cs_13_full.tar LimeWireLinux.bin wine-20010731-2mdk.i586.rpm
hlds_l_3108_full.tar LimeWireLinux.tgz
jre-1.3.1_02.i386.rpm rw_mk1d3.EXE
[ethan@localhost stuff]$ sh ./LimeWireLinux.bin
Preparing to install...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
environment variable. You must install a VM prior to
running this program.




i'm a linux newbie!!! a REALLY NEW newbie... someone said check your path with this command and this is what it said:

[ethan@localhost ethan]$ echo $PATH
/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/games:/usr/sbin:/usr/java/jre1.3.1_02/bin



can somone go step by step in telling me what i'm doing wrong!??? step by step slowly, lamens.... please e-mail it to me because i will not check this forum again...
