Help, I tried to install limewire on my computer but it gives the message that another application is open, so i try to close and it says
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report. I have no clue what to do.

Ok, i no nothing about linux whatsoever, I'm sorry but I don't even know what you are talking about. All I wanted to do is download music, but right in the middle of installing limewire. My computer froze, so I shut it down and now it's saying that I have more than one application open. I don't even know where to start with linux. Sorry.

What is the name that you see when you first start your computer and Linux starts to load ?
Is it Ubuntu or SUSE or... could be one of many... ?
