Hello,

Here is how I installed LimeWire on my FreeBSD
machines (one running 5.0-CURRENT, the other
4.5-STABLE):

1) Install the jdk-1.3.1p6_4 port from the ports
collection

2) Download LimeWire from
http://www3.limewire.com/download/LimeWireSolaris.tgz

3) Create a /usr/local/LimeWire directory, and
de-tar the LimeWire stuff into this directory.

4) Create the following script, "limewire", and put
it into /usr/local/bin:

#!/bin/sh
cd /usr/local/LimeWire
javavm -jar LimeWire.jar &

That's all there is to it...

regards,

tom
