What happend to the platform-independent zip packages?

Hi,

I am running Fedora Linux, and until now always was using the platform-independent limewire distribution. I found it pretty cool to run it right from the folder I unziped it.

Now I tried downloading Limewire again, and only was offered debian packages.
Please, give us back the platform independent .zip package.

Thank you in advance, Clemens

I have queried LW about this coincidentally some days ago. I'll see what happens. :)

Work around for non-debian based linux users - eg fedora

For now:
- download the debian .deb archive
- open containing folder in nautilus
- right click the .deb and select extract here
- change into the extracted folder: LimeWireLinux
- right click data.tar.gz and extract here
- change into extracted folder:
..../LimeWireLinux/data/usr/lib/LimeWire
- double-click runLime.sh startup script
, and Bob's your uncle :laugh_2:
