Maximum speed

I'm new to Limewire.

I'm trying to find the maximum speed i could run it on. In other words what are the best setting to run Limewire.

I use the high speed Broadband Telewest and Mac OSX.

Upload speed?
Upload bandwidth? (whats that?)
Upload slots?
Download speed?
Ultrapeer on/off?
Cable/T1/T3?

It might seems clear and easy for certain, but total darkness to me.

Thank you for your help

upload slots = 2

bandwidth = unlimited (let your computer work for you)

dis enable incoming searches any time you are downloading something and you want improved performance, otherwise leave it on. (monitors tab)

speed = set your speed prefs to whatever connection you actually have.

limit searches to cable or greater

disable ultrapeer if you are running a computer under a Pent3 or G3.

start upload = 5

max = 20

limit searches to five to ten

rarely allow freeloaders as they clog you and the network

this should help

excuse me, disable ultrapeer based off your connection speed and your attitude as well as your system hardware. T3 with dual G4 - don't be a jerk enable ultrapeer. G3 233 mhz with 56k don't even think about enabling it it will crash you!
