Question Renaming files causes them to be unavailable

I noticed some errors in the names of some of my files so I changed the name. Now, I get quite a few users that can't download the file due to a "file not found" error. It's been a few days since I renamed the files but some people still can't download them. Do ultrapeers cache file names even if I quit limewire and join up at a later time? How long will searches return the old file names causing failed downloads?

I just noticed the same problem after just adding one file in one folder and clicking the refresh button. I believe that this must have something to do with the file index as used in the GnuTella protocol. Refreshing the library view will cause a re-enumeration of the files and potentially a change in the file numbers. If folks have old searches on screen with the old file numbers it will not match.
