Quit only minimises the window!

I'm running Limewire 2.4.4 on OSX 10.1.4 and both the close button and the Quit option ony minimise the window.

I have to force Quit !

Fixing failure to quit in OSX

I had been having the same problem when trying to quit Limewire and it not quitting but going into the dock, I have installed java 1.3.1 and the problem seems to be fixed, does this work for everyone else? ( http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...e/java131.html

I also have had the same problem. I uploaded the java update for OS X, and still had the same problem.

The problem seems to be with the download manager that saves downloads still in progress. I had a file with the usual "requery" message sitting there. When I killed the download, I was able to quit Limewire without having it simply mimimize in the Dock. Which kinda makes that feature of Limewire useless <sigh>

if someone is uploading off of you than you cant quit. a way to get aroung this is to select the upload thread and push the kill upload button and quit immediately after.

I had checked that--sorry, should have made that clear. I didn't have any uploads going on. It was definately a download problem.

Go to Limewire->Preferences->Shutdown. What settings do you guys have here?

I have "Shutdown Immediately" selected, and have no problem Quitting out of Limewire.

That's the ticket-choose "shutdown immediately" from the shutdown preferences, & it's fixed.

Thanks!
