Acqusition - Gnutella for OS X

http://www.xlife.org/ - Acquisition 6.01
I would seriously get this program if your on OS X and want to access the Gnutella (LimeWire) Network. It runs on the latest LimeWire CVS release as of July 1st so it supports all of LimeWire's great features (Swarmed Downloading, Ultrapeers, SHA1 Hashes) and gives an easy to use Mac OS X interface. It is also stable and doesn't eat as many resources as LimeWire or take as long to launch.

Yes, it gets good reviews. It can be used while we are waiting for that great new major upgrade that is going to work with OS 10. And, say hallileujah, NO FREAKING JAVA!!!!!!!!

mac osx hints gave this endorsement:

"If anyone is bored stupid waiting for Limewire to connect, find and then download your files, then try Acquisition, a new Gnutella alternative.

I have used this for about a day, and everything I've searched for has had results within a few seconds, and I've been able to download the located files. Acquisition has a fantastic user interface, is built using Cocoa, has freely available source, and is incredibly stable ... what more could you ask for?"

Very happy with Acqusition..spelling...
It's a good start, no Java is a dream come true.
He's got a bunch of cool ideas, and he's a Canuck.....sweet.
Still no sharing yet, and you still can't remove hosts, but you can connect to 25, so that makes up for it. Still hard to look at all those Morpheus connections, but the music is fast, and the apps are plentiful.
B+
(it's got good potential)
A huge jump from Limewire.

It's still got the java core. - I found the source code. It uses the mainly unmodified LimeWire core.

Yes I know. But what people hate with Java is not actually Java itself but rather they hate Swing, The cross-platform interface for Java.
