sharing's not off!!

because i'm in a residence hall that monitors bandwidths and requests, i'd like to not have sharing on at all.

i removed the path of the shared folder, and changed all the upload slots to zero.

this worked on my roommate's osx box, but not on mine??
we're both running vers 2.4.1 on macosX 10.1.5

i'm still getting tons of requests to my ip on that port.

plz help!

re:

in the connection window it's always refreshing, and some of the connections will send out 5 or so outgoing requests before it's replaced by another connection(s)

someone plz reply

wtf!?

to the CREATORS of this software for some reason not come on to their own product's forum??

i have a hard time believing that the mp3-leeching community does not know a common question about the program they all use??

pathetic

try disabling ultrapeer status?... try changing the port to 6349 or some other random number?... regardless, if you're not sharing files, it doesn't really matter if requests come in. it's not your fault that someone is trying to get stuff that doesn't exist.
