Burning CDs on MAC OS X

I have a Mac OS X, and I can't seem to burn cds using your suggested system that downloads when you click "burn cd." I know that is only for PC users, but what am I supposed to do? I tried moving the files to iTunes, but that didnt work. Please help! I'd hate to think that I downloaded all these files for nothing.

Burning CDs

I don't understand why iTunes won't work for you. Do you have a CD burner. If so, you have to import all of the music files into iTunes before it will use them. Don't just drag the files to the iTunes folder.
1. start iTunes
2. open Preferences and click the Burn tab
3. make sure your burner is recognized
4. select a burn speed (I found that slower speeds work even though my burner is capable of faster ones)
5. select the type of CD to make (only select MP3 if you have an MP3 player)
6. close preferences
7. import the songs by dragging them to the Library symbol in the Source window of iTunes
8. click on File in iTunes and select New Playlist and name it My CD or something else
9. click on the Library symbol to see your songs
10. drag the songs you want to burn over the the My CD playlist
11. click on the My CD playlist
12. in the upper right coner of iTunes you will see a circle that says Burn CD under it click the cirlce once to open it click once more to burn the CD
13. insert a blank CD into your burner and sit back and wait for the process to finish
14. Finished

Let me know if this worked by sending me an email to: teethdoc69@t-online.de

doulble clicking on an mp3 file should 1) launch iTunes, and 2) add that file to the library. then make a new play list and drag songs to it. open the play list by 2x clicking. hit burn button in the upper right.

??? comand I on the file, and make sure that iTunes is selected as the program to play that file type.

sorry, didn't work!

The LimeWire library will not let me drag files outside of the LimeWire application... They won't go to iTunes. I've tried opening iTunes and selecting Import from the File section at the top of my computer screen, but when i select the Shared file from where i'd like to import selectins from (that's where I have found my LimeWire files) it won't let me. Any more suggestions?

i may be off, but...
don't drag them from the application. find the file which should be in the "shared" folder ( or other if specified in the preferences). double click on those. they will play (provided they have the .mp3 extention and iTunes icon). once played, they will become part of the iTunes library.

I'm having the same problem. 2 weeks of downloading songs and I can't get them from LimeWire over to iTunes to burn them, I also got that PC message when clicking on the burn cd on LimeWire. I'm ready to just trash LimeWire face it that by havinging a Mac I have no way of being satisfied with a program that can download songs to burn and just go back to paying my cousin to find stuff for me and have him burn the damn stuff. Trouble is by the time he gets off his lazy a$$ it's weeks and I can have a bunch of stuff burned by then (I'm still waiting for something I gave him in June to burn for me) but I guess he doesn't want the $$$. Anybody have any other suggestions on how to get these songs I have same burned???? Nevermind, now I tried it again and the damn thing is working... Unchecking the use LimeWire player allowed the songs i click on to be opened in itunes.
