limewire and kazaa

I was told that by getting limewire, I'd be able to access kazaa and begin downloading music files to my I-Mac -- something I cannot currently do. So I bought and installed limewire, downloaded kazaa and limewire refused to activate it because of security reasons. I was warned before download that the package might contain a virus. HOW CAN I GET AROUND THIS AND HOW DOES ONE CONTACT THE FOLKS AT LIMEWIRE TO GET THEM TO EXPLAIN THIS?

Support

If you bought Limewire then the email you received after you paid has an email address to send your support questioins to -- posting in the frum will seldom catch a developer's eye, in my experience, but they respond pretty promptly to email and will carry on an ongoing dialogue until your questions are aswered, if not solved (for some issues there are no solutions).

Why do you need kaazaa to download files? Limewire does that by itself.

Limewire supports the Gnutella protocol and Kazaa is on the Fasttrack network. The two are not compatible. As far as I know, there are no Fasttrack clients for Mac. The only muliple protocol client I know of is iSwipe, which is available for OSX. It supports Gnutella, Hotline, Opennap, FTP and Carracho (but not Fasttrack). Here's the link:
