Default Limewire a Memory Hog?

I just downloaded the free version of Limewire, and I'm getting some serious weirdness on OS 10.1. My wallpaper image is stretched, and the IE icon is replaced by a "?" on my dock. Seems to be a memory problem, but I have 512 MB of RAM on my G4. Has anyone else encountered these problems with Limewire? Any suggestions on how to fix? Thanks in advance for your help.

wow thats really strange stuff. I've been using Limewire and OsX for about 6 months now, and haven't seen any of that. It doesn't sound like a memory problem since you have about twice as much memory as me. I have not a clue for you. Osx is very glitchy and Limewire is a glitch - just chalk it up too that.
P.S. - have you ever seen strange black stripes appear across your folders? and what about the Trash? does yours say "cannot empty trash because trash is in use"? try to empty it over and over and all of a sudden it works, for no reason!
without you changing anything? I want to love my mac but its gone insane everysince I installed Osx.

I uninstalled Limewire last night, but I don't think that was the problem. I looked at my system specs and suddenly I have 384 MB of RAM, when I normally have 512. OSX is normally rock solid for me (no stripes or strange trash messages), so I'm thinking my problems might be related to a messed up memory card. I added 384 MB of RAM to my original 128 last year, so one of the replacement 128s might have gone bad. Very strange indeed...
