Angry why did i pay for LimeWire OS X ??

ive emailed numerous times asking the same questions i see many users on here asking..... when i use limewire it slows the entire system down to a snail's pace.. any windows placed over limewire flicker and/or CRAWL.. just accessing the dock is painfully slow.. i have been emailing for months now and have yet to get a single response..

i have 6 machines running 10.1.4 to 10.2.2 etc.. it runs exactly the same on all the OS X machines.. on my machine running 9.2 it runs fairly well, with the usual random flakey quits that limewire is notorious for.

HOW ABOUT A USEFUL UPDATE FOR THIS CRAP?

Lightbulb minimize, minimize...

i expereince all the slowing down stuff too, and the only thing that works is to minimize limewire's window. i've found this to reduce the cpu hogging from 80%-90% down to around 30-60%, which makes thing manageable, but it still SUCKS. bottom line. i really can't understand why someone else doesn't just come up with something better. maybe they're scared of big brother...

Default don't install Java 1.4.1

There have been several posts about the fact that LW does NOT work with the Java developers preview 1.4.1. If you install it and LW continues to work it is simply because you haven't switched your Java to the new version but merely installed it.

I run LW on 10.2.2 (previously on 10.1.x as well) without any noticeable slowdown. I would ask how much memory you have on your machines because if LW is taking a large amount of CPU it is possible it is thrashing trying to swap in memory. I am running with 512 meg. You can use process viewer to determine how much cpu and memory LW is taking. The critical number is the resident memory size as this is the number of physical pages you actually are using.
