Sharing with Bearshare Users

Trying to share as many files as I can.

When most users try to access one of my files, I see the file, say 5,000KB, go from start to finish.

When I see people who use Bearshare software try to get my files, the same file seems to be only 120KB, and it uploads over and over.

Is this normal for Bearshare? I want these folks to have access to my files too, but it seems pretty weird!

yes.

what bearshare users are doing is getting successive parts of the file one by one. so they first download killobytes 0->120, then 121->240, then 241->360, etc... the next version of limewire will fix the display issue so that that'll all happen behind the scenes, and users will just see one progressing transfer.

Some older versions of Acquisition transfer in parts also.
