Default Graphic weirdness with 2.6.5 and OSX.2

If the Limewire app is open and visible, all Finder window navigation slows to a complete crawl.

Now, many of you saw the "strangeness" in OS X.1.x where the LimeWire app window will show up in other apps document windows and stuff, but this one os weird.

It slows down EVERYTHING if the app is visible.

Now, I know this MAY be an Apple/Java thing, but just wanted to point out, that this version of the OS and LimeWire seem to be very strange bedfellows indeed...

Default ATI vs. Nvidia

I have tried the latest limewire on a Mac running Jaguar, which has an Nvidia agp card and an ATI pci card, with identical monitors attached to both. The Nvidia card allows Limewire to run at the speed that was normal before 2.6.5, but if any or all of the Limewire window is on the ATI card, the entire system slows to a crawl. It appears that there is an incompatability with the ATI card. Anyone else had this kind of result?

Unhappy Same here

This thread is quite old, but it describes exactly what has been driving me crazy for months with Limewire.

I have a Cube 500 with 512Mb RAM running 10.2.5 and ... an ATI card.

Everytime Limewire runs, I must hide the app to have decent performance. Otherwise, the whole system is sluggish and I mostly see the spinning CD for a mouse cursor.

Anyone has a fix for that ?

Default Hi Guys

I posted a thread about this about two weeks ago and have sent a copy of my crash log to the developers (yes, after slowing to a crawl and allowing me to study the spinning wheel of boredom at length, I always had a crash, more often than not taking the OS with it). So the developers will no doubt get round to a fix soon — I hope.
