"shared" folder

Must I save in the "shared" folder. How do I change, in the library, where my music is stored?

You can use LimeWire->Preferences->Saving->Browse---choose another folder or create a new folder. After, you'll be asked if you want to share this folder too. Your choice.

I read and learned that from the Help file. What I don't get... is every folder in the Library a shared folder? I don't want to share. It slows me down. I want to save to a folder in the Library that is not shared.
