then I think this is the Apple JVM bug Jens-Ewe was told by Apple that has been fixed in Panther. They didn't tell him if it would be fixed in Jaguar.

The only way I've found around it so far is to shutdown long enough to clear the memory, and make LW (it happens to me in either the regular or jum builds) the first app to open.

btw et voilà, yesterday the LWPRo beta 3.5.1 ran fine for 8 hrs on a stock G4; I switched the connection, and it started crashing every ~1/2 hr. The G3 running jum205 and the dp version of Java had no trouble with the connection change and is still running today. Tomorrow might be the opposite, so it's not build vs regular here . . . just very irritating and unpredictable.
