limewire crashes my computer...still

I have been trying to figure this problem out for like a month. I cannot get limewire to startup. It crashes the computer everytime I run it. It doesn't give me any error messages; it doesn't unexpectedly quit. It just crashes the computer. I checked the crash log. It doesn't make any sense to me. Here is what it says:

Command: LimeWire_Installer
PID: 424

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Code[0]: 0x0000000aCode[1]: 0x00f2d000

WTF?!!!
Can anyone say what this means? I get similar logs, running most java apps.
Help!

Hi songe--sorry to hear of the crashes, and I don't recognize the console log entries. Have you tried the usual troubleshooting (updated system and java via software update, reboot in safe boot mode/repair disk permissions, cleaned out old version, and downloaded new .dmg version)?

There are other steps you could try to troubleshoot your system (e.g. http://www.macattorney.com/tutorial.html), so post back if you have any other questions.

I hope just the new .dmg installer will do the trick, but if you are having trouble with other java apps, it looks like it's a system problem.
