Movies won't play after downloaded

I just signed up for LimeWire/iShareit 2 days ago and I still can't play a movie. After I either download a movie or it downloads and I try to watch it, a message pops up saying either,' there was an internal error' or ' the required compressor could not be found.' All in all, I can't watch the movies that I have downloaded because a message always pops up saying that either I don't have all the tools necessary (even though I've downloaded all of the tools) or there was some sort of error that had occured. Please help me!
Kelsey

The following information is what appears when it says that I have a an internal error.

LimeWire version 3.2.3 Pro
Java version 1.3.1 from Apple Computer, Inc.
Mac OS X v. 10.2.6 on ppc
Free/total memory: 40364864/119275520

I gather this happens when you try to launch the files directly from Limwire???

Have you tried launching the files from the Finder?

If the files do not launch and you get an error stating that you do not have enough resources, plugins, or codecs, then most likely the movie is in a format not yet compatible with Macs...or the file could be corrupted.

luv328igirl, your report shows your machine is running an older version of LW, which uses the old java 1.3.1. You can update via your Pro page. That might help with the crash.
In addition to angelsonico's good advice,
if Quickime still won't play your movies, try one of the following free players.
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=62947

btw--what is iShareit? LW is free (ad supported), or you can get the ad-free Pro version (jnow $19.50) directly from LW. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/home.shtml
