Glad I didn't pay for it!

I keep seeing people saying "check and see if your ISP blocks P2P." Well, I did and they don't. Then I read "check the blah, blah port." Well I did and it is open and set correctly. Conclusion: 3.5.8 doesn't work with OSX 10.1.5.

Problems:

1. it hangs on the splash screen
2. it cannot maintain a connection
3. it actually causes a disconnect from the ISP sometimes.

I dumped 3.5.8 and went back to 3.4.5 and now only run it minimized and it seems to work, but that is a sad way to run a program. I ran Kazaa all weekend on my PC and had NO problems. These LW guys need to get their acts together.

Hi Fleischman,

Please try using the 3.6.1 Beta. We believe we've found and solve the hanging problem with OSX 10.1.5.

Thanks.

That's great news about the spalsh screen, but what about all the connection issues? Any news on those? Like I said, I (and many others) cannot seem to maintain a connection for very long. I found a workaround by minimizing LW while downloading, but I really don't want to do that everytime.

Any ideas on this?

The best option I can offer for the other two problems is to choose "Disable Ultrapeer" in the Speed section of the Preferences. Sorry I can't help more.
