Not saving downloaded files to disc and "loading Core Components" issues!

I have 2 problems....
First is the problem it seems everyone is having with "loading core components" screen freezing and the second is a problem with an older version.

I have downloaded an older version (3.2) in hopes of using it untill the "loading core components" problem is fixed. The problem is my files show they download completely but the do not verify and save. Sometimes when I download only one at a time it works but other times it does not.

1) Could someone give a overview of the entire issue with the "loading core components" problem i.e. what is the issue, is it being resolved?

2) Is there a solution to the older version issue of not saving my downloaded files to disc and why it sometimes works with downloading one file at a time.

I see alot of threads about the "loading core components" issue but I was wondering if someone could just re-cap the whole thing nice and neat with solutions or other information regarding.

Thanks.

Don't get excited, as I'm no expert, but I have had experience of the 'Loading Core Components' freeze that seems to be a commonly reported issue in these forums...

My copy of LimeWire almosts always seems to stall at this stage of the startup process - I've often booted it up and then switched to another application, only to find the LimeWire splash screen stuck at that message 10 mins later. This has also occured when LimeWire is the only application running.

Thankfully, this have never caused any serious problems for me, as a simple click on the splash screen seems to motivate it to completing the whole startup procedure and get on with the business of file sharing like it should.

This sounds like an improbable fix (and something that others have surely tried in frustration) to a common problem that has people tearing hair out here, but I thought it would be worth sharing.

Fingers crossed.
