Can't Share....
 

Hello there, I'm running Limewire 3.6.14 on mac os 10.2.8, and I'm having some problems shareing my files, when I first got Limewire going there were constently files being shown as downloading in the monitor page, but now for some reason, nothing gets downloaded anymore and I have some Video stuff I'm really keen to get out there, I can still get stuff of other folks computere's with no problem. I was thinking it must have something to do with my fire wall or the sucurity set up on my Mac but I don't no much about that type of thing so was wandering if anyone could give me some ideas where it might be smart to have a look. It might be something to do with ultrapeer being off, Limewire gives me this warning and says I won't get many hits shown in monitor, but I really don't know what thats all about and how to get ultrapeer going, can any of you good people help me out.......

That's precisely the same problem I've been having, and since you mentioned it, it did start just after I downloaded the new version. My shared folders appear in the window, but none of the files in them are accessible to others. It can't have anything to do with being an ultrapeer, though, since I was a leaf before I installed the upgrade, and I frequently saw things being downloaded then, but not now. Anyone have an idea when yet another upgrade will be online, or should we maybe try uninstalling the upgrade and see if it's just a problem with this version? I feel guilty being a freeloader, albeit unintentionally!

p.s. I'm going to post this topic in "download/ upload problems" and see if we get a better response.
