Mac OS 10.2 Limewire quitting, Classic wiorking

Had been using Limewire basic without a hitch on PB Mac OS 10.2 and in Classic. Then suddenly, as soon as Limewire opened, it quit, with message that no other programs have been affected. Re-downloaded, re-installed Limewire, same problem. However, older version Limewire continues to work with Classic environment.
