Since updating new version, G4 fan won't turn off??? Help pls!!

I upgraded to the newer version about a month or so ago and ever since the fan on my mac g4 10.2.8 NEVER turns off and its sooo loud. What can I do? I guess I'll have to remove the program? But then I can't download again?

If this happens when Lw is not running, sounds like a G4 settings problem. Have you tried asking on the Apple discussion boards? http://discussions.info.apple.com/

LW can use a lot of processor power when running as an Ultrapeer, but cannot change the hardware or software settings that control the fan.

Yes its happening even when Limewire isn't open but I've just noticed the change since I updated...? I also posted on Mac's website, but no reply. Anyone know how to fix the settings??
