i am new here.. and befor i buy anything i would like to ask you what are my chances to find any of the files or programs i need with hebrew support? otherwise, i have nothing to do with them... if anyone could help, or if anyone knows where eles can i find what i need, i'd appriciate it..

-you don't buy anything here (this is just a discussion group). The software just allows you to share files with other users.

-LW is multilingual: you can check on the translations status here

-look for "jannuss" over on the
Acquisition forums .She should be able to give you an answer Hebrew files if you post or message her there.

Cheers

Interesting question--post back and let us know what you find.

an maby a sugestion, maby we should all write the langueges supported next to the name of the program.. maby juas maby..
and another question... is there a possibility to choose the location of the host you want to connect to?
thanks for replying..

hmmm--if you registered you should have been able to send her a PM (I left one for her just in case). Maybe you need to clear the cookies in your browser (Safari?) to get this and the Acq forum to recognize your new registration.

Anyway, both LW and Acq look for people to help in the localization project, but I don't see Hebrew listed as active in either.

What happens if you type hebrew terms into the search bar if your system is set to Hebrew?

New One,

I have some answers for you on Hebrew, but first you have to listen to me rant . . .

[rant]
I am very, very strongly against "GONVAH." I acknowledge that 95% of all copies of Hebrew Office in Israel are illegal ones, but not here in my house. We either use free software (OpenOffice at http://www.openoffice.org/) or we purchase less expensive sofware (Mellel -- http://www.redlers.com). And, in any case, are you going to trust your computer to some file you found on Gnutella?
[/rant]

OK, now we need to be more specific.

You want to search for songs -- try transliteration, for example
David Broza, Yhiyeh Tov
Machina, At Lo Kemo Kulam
Ehud Banai, Nitzotzot Ahava

You want Hebrew language video -- I've yet to see any.

You want fonts and other Hebrew language tools -- you're in the wrong place. Let me know what Mac you have and which version of OSX and I'll see how I can help.

Janet
