Dropping connection after 2 minutes

Have successfully use Limewire for years.

Yesterday Limewire Pro kept dropping connection after 2 minutes of activity for no apparent reason. My ISP (Wanadoo Broadband 512k) says there are no reasons why, from their point of view - no blocking, faults, firewalls etc. I have aletered the Mac OSX Firewall setting as described on Limewire.com but still drops connection. If I use Internet explorer all day I don't get one lost connection - I guess that proves the ISP service is OK?

When I get a lost connection the only way to get 'back on' is restarting.

Remember it was working fine before buying and intalling Pro!

Help!

Salut!

Well, Wanadoo doesn't have anything indeed that chokes P2P. The only thing they do is that they automatically cut your connection after 24h of use to change your IP (it's all about that dynamic IP thingy). I've also got Wanadoo and I can tell you that their service is indeed OK.
Anyway, try disabling the firewall altogether. Might work.

btw, how come you aren't using an Ethernet modem? Just go ask for one (normally, it should be given for 1€ when you got your connection). I read that USB ones can be a pain.
