Internal Errors

I'm running LW 4.0.7, using OSX Panther and I'm recieving a ton of internal errors and a request to send it. Sometimes I will encounter 1/2 a dozen or so before LW finally crashes on me.

Is this happening to anyone else?
Should I be reporting them?
Can I discard it instead?

Then, when I restart LW is informs me that it cannot restore my previous requested downloads. That would include anything that was almost finished (boo hoo).

Any feedback on this???

Which internal error? If it is the one about the query being too large, just type smaller queries into the search box.

You can upgrade to 4.0.8, or better yet, the 4.1.5 beta.

If this doesn't recover the incompletes, sadly, it sounds like your incomplete folder is messed. Trash the whole thing, and a new one will be re-created on the next startup.

Looks like a bug to me...

It's nice of you to offer the latest version of LW but after glossing through the forum a little, it appears as though that version has a host of it's own issues.

It would be nice to resolve or at least understand what is creating 'this' conflict.

Just to clarify a little, I keep getting BOMBARDED with 3 simultaneous internal error messages asking me to 'review', 'discard bugs' or 'send immediately'.

It doesn't matter what option I make, all attempts to report the bug or close the pop-ups fail and leave me staring at the spinning beach ball of death until I get fed up enough to 'force quit'.

Wierd thing is...I think I've had this version for about a month or so, and I haven't made any radical changes on my OS except for the latest security update.

So what's the 'deal-io'? Am I ready for 4.0.8, or is this just the beginning of some mysterious problem on my end?

Hi Ribster

The changelog of the versions can be seen at http://www.limewire.com/english/cont..._history.shtml That should help you decide.

As you can see, 4.1.5 has already fixed many bugs, and installing a newer version is very easy.

Re the internal errors, your LW preferences are set to "review first". If you go to Preferences->Bug Reports" you can set the option to "discard immediately" and then you will not be bombarded with the many internal errors. (they'll still happen, but LW won't bother throwing up the dialog box that allows you to look over the report first). If you want to know more about what is triggering the bug/internal error you'll have to copy the first 10 lines or so of one of those reports.

Upgrade to the beta 4.1.5. If this doesn´t help send Sam Berlin a PM or mail:
