Freezes with Itune on OSX 10.1.5

I'm using OSX 10.1.5. LW freezes after playing a few songs on Itune, and I'll have no choice other than forcing it to quite. HD capacity is 18.62 GB and usually around 11 GB is available. Could anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can fix this, please?

How much ram do you have?

You can try a SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions
