Limewire player
 

I'm a bit new to these forums, so forgive me if this has already been posted and answered.
I recently upgraded to Mac OSX (from OS9), Panther 10.3.3 on a G5 and downloaded the latest version of Limewire 4.6. I installed it no problem and everything was fine until the other day.
I used to be able to preview the audio files in the LW player, but suddenly it doesn't work and I have made sure that it is checked in the preferences folder.
I have also experienced connection problems as well (but that's another story!)
Not too sure if the connection problem and the player issue are linked.
Not sure whether to dump Limewire and re-install or if someone can help me, would be much appreciated.

Welcome to OSX! :) I am probably one of the very rare few who actually uses the LW media player in OSX! lol :D Most people just use iTunes for listening back music. Let's face it, if you have the option ticked in your LW Preferences, iTunes will copy the file to its own library as soon as any audio file has completed downlding. So ... why 'tie up' LW's resources by using the media player when you can listen to it using iTunes instead. Please downld updated iTunes version from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Go to LW's Preferences>iTunes>importing & tick enable iTunes importing & press Apply button. Also, go to LW's Preferences>Player & untick option to use LW's media player & press Apply button. After this everytime you preview or launch a song iTunes will open & play the song. :)
