Default audio cd burning trouble

i realize there are a lot of questions about burning. but i can't find the answer to my problem. i have no trouble getting my music from limewire to i-tunes. and i have no trouble starting the burning process. it goes througth the motions of burning and an additional disc icon appears on my desktop. once it's complete i've tried just ejecting my disc and i've tried dragging the additional icon/playlist whatever onto my blank disc and then ejecting it. but either way when i eject my disc (cd-r) and try to play it in my walkman, it won't play. and when i reinsert the disc back in the computer it isn't recognized and is just ejected back out. it says something like, "volume for playlist can't be found." anyway, i've tried this with three discs so far and now i can't use them at all. so that sucks. anyone know what's going on?

I'd suggest it's either one of 3 reasons: 1. Burnt it too fast; some players don't like cd-r's burnt too fast. 2. Chose incorrect format to burn. 3. Chose wrong media.

Answers:
1. & 2. Go to iTunes preferences>Burning & select minimum burn speed under prefered burn speed. Choose Audio CD format for disc format (top choice.)
3. Make sure you're using CD-R & not CD-RW.
