"Verifying file contents" issue

Hi there,
I'm downloading a file, when the bar gets to 100%, the comment changes to "Verifying file contents" and the status bar begins refilling up from 0%.
The problem is that when this stage gets to 99%, the screen freezes for a few mins., then the file goes back to downloading from the 97% complete position.....
this has happened about 4 times now....

any suggestions anyone?

What happens if I stop the verifying b4 it gets to 99%? I figure 100% of the file has downloaded, so.....

Thanks

Amedeo

If this is happening on all your downloads, then I have no idea what the problem is.

If it is happening on one specific download, it seems very likely that the source file you are getting is corrupted in some fashion, and whenever limwire is verifying checksums and such on the file, the data looks wrong so it is trying and trying again to restart the download from where the corruption is in the file.

If so, you are not going to be able to get that download.

Thanks....
I've since found the Bitzi feature, and, sure enough, the file was negatively rated....
Great thing Bitzi...

I have the same problem as in the file I am downloading, 350 mb AVI, will get to 99% verifying and then go back to 95% ish downloading. I have looked it up on Bitzi and it says that the file info is correct. Will it ever download?
