Which discs to burn & PAL/NTSC query?

Hi there,
In the process of tying to create DVD's (for tv/dvd player use) and I have a couple of queries...if someone can help please?

Which are the right discs to use?
In the osx help it says:
"DVD-RW (DVD-Rewritable) discs hold about 4.7 GB of information on each side. If you have an Apple SuperDrive, you can read information on these discs, but you can't burn files on them using Mac OS X."DVD-RW (DVD-Rewritable) discs hold about 4.7 GB of information on each side. If you have an Apple SuperDrive, you can read information on these discs, but you can't burn files on them using Mac OS X.

....sorry pressed return at wrong time....

so thats what help says, but looking through the forum I have seen it said that they are ok to use??
Whats the position there?

On the PAL/NTSC thing, I have also read that you can tell if a file is PAL because the fps rate is 25..
The only info I could find about my files is that they are 24fps.. Is that also PAL?
I ask because I believe that when I convert them, the exported file must match the original? Not sure though...

Thanks anyone for any help

Amedeo
