Can't quit Limewire!
 

Well, I recently fixed my bouncing icon/Java issues for OS 10.3.9 and all was working well. Until now. I restarted my computer after a software update... didn't pay much attention to what I was updating. My log says it was quicktime update and a Java update for 10.3.9. After restart, Limewire will not quit. It minimizes to the dock when I try to quit the program. Anyone know about this?

I have seen such behavior in linux. I noticed that if i delete Incomplete directory it starts working again.

Try SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions I updated to QT 7 without thinking & had issues with another program (but not LW.) I ended up updating it & not only repairing permissions but also repairing disk with Disk Utility & Norton Utilities. Perhaps a couple of restarts also helped to sort it out.

If that doesn't work then try deleting LW's preferences whilst LW is closed. Make a note of your settings b/c you'll need to reset them. Prefs are found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire
