songs wont play

i downloaded limewire last night on my mac and the songs were playing just fine. after a few hours when i tried to play one of the songs that i downloaded it wouldn't play, a box came up that said some like connecting, but never did anything. the songs play on my ipod just fine, but not on my computer. whats wrong? do i need to delete the program from my computer?

Were you using LW's media player or iTunes when the songs wouldn't play anymore? LW's media player is notorious for having problems if LW is too busy searching/downlding/uplding, etc. which gets the main priority of LW's resources. You might find that after re-opening LW the songs will play again.

i was using or trying to use ituns to play the music that i downloaded. i really don't care if the songs dont play and i have to erase them from my computer. i am just more concerned about it causing problems with my computer.

Sometimes a reboot might be in order. Or even a quick repair of permissions. In case you're interested i'll leave some links to mac osx maintenance.

1. SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions

2. Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption
