Trouble launching 1.7 on OSX
 

I have downloaded version 1.7 without difficulty onto my iMac, which is running OSX 10.0.4. On expansion, the Limewire icon appears. When I double click it to run, the boarders expand like it's launching, but then nothing happens. Does anyone have any advice?

I have the same problem! The site says just double click - which on my machine doesn't translate into anything. When I tried installing using the step by step approach (which included entering commands on the Terminal found in the Utilities folder of Mac OS X) the instructions didn't match what happened - I feel like I'm doing something wrong. Perhaps its not compatible with Mac OS 10.1?? :(

did you install in the default location? i've had this prob with a few installers under X. they offer you a choice of where to install but if you install anywhere other than the root of your applications folder the prog won't launch.

i just installed limewire into a subfolder within apps and had the same prob as you. re-installed into the apps folder itself and it runs fine.

[note: you can't move it. you've got to re-install]
