Does LimeWire Media Player really exist?

Tried to send this report via email to <bugs@limewire.com> but server rejected it and bounced it back to me.

The Limiwire Media Player never works. My Quicktime player always launches instead.

No change with 4.9.33.

I have never seen the so-called Limewire Media Player, does it really
exist?

I can think of 2 possibilities. One is that your LW media player is disabled. If you really want to use it, go to LW's Preferences (hold down apple/command key & comma) >Player & tick option to use media player. This won't have any effect until next time you open LW. But I'm surprised as an OSX user you'd bother much with the media player. Most people use iTunes instead. But if QT launches instead of iTunes then it sounds like your default player is not iTunes. Are your mp3's showing up with a QuickTime icon? Outside of LW, on the desktop, select an mp3 & Command & i keys & choose open with iTunes & choose always to use. BTW LW's media player is only for music. It's not designed to play videos. Get VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) OR XinePlayer, OR MPlayer to play videos.

Go to the LW Library window (press the Library tab), & if you can't see a playlist window at the bottom of the window then drag the bottom up so it becomes visible. See Drag window paritition up (click on link) image example. Other options: 1. Click on the small arrows on the LW main window. If that doesn't work click the other arrow. 2. Drag the partition up or sideways; see examples here: Example A (click on link) & also Example B (click on link) (click on arrows to show single window)
