Apple Scruffian is flying high
Default Bobbing icon but no startup!

Everytime I click on the Limewire icon, it bobs up and down but doesn't do anything else...confused:

I'm on Ibook..mac version 10.3.9

I'm a bit of a computer thickie..so any help you can give me would be much appreciated!

i cant believe this but every p2p file sharing has a trojan the trojan gets your ip and logs you on to copyright it is 100 gbp for every music track video etc you download and sometimes you can be sued PLEASE STOP MY COUSIN HAS BEEN FINED 8, 500 POUND THIS IS NO JOKE TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! POST EVERYWHERE ABOUT THIS REMEMBER ME WHEN PEOPLE ARE FINED AND YOUR NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE LISTENED TO ME.

I will not delete this post.
I am not LW. But even if I was, I would still not delete it.
Why?
Because you don't know what you're talking about.
What happened to your cousin is regretable and I'm genuinely sorry, but, frankly, he should have known what not to download as I said in my other post.
To contract a trojan, your cousin must have downloaded an .exe or .zip file (sometimes .jpg or even .avi) and then tried to open it without scanning it first.

Besides, posting in the Mac sections is entirely useless: to this day, there are virtually no Trojans on this platform (although it has been proven that it is possible to create one)

And to come back to Apple Scruffian's initial post, could you please refer to this post which deals with 10.3.9 issues.

By first of all, I will repair permissions:
(must be admin)
Launch Applications/Utilities/DiskUtility
On the left pane, select the drive
On the right, select the First Aid (or SOS) tab
Then click on repair permissions and let run; don not worry about messages like " new permissions...."
Quit DiskUtility
Shutdown and reboot
