My screen goes blank!!!
 

I'm using OS10.2.8. When I click on the Lime the program comes up like it should. Everything works fine until I start searching. As soon as the search begins all or parts of the screen go blank. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem, but I found that by switching to a different skin solved the blank screen problem. You are probably using the Pin-stripe skin, which no longer seems to be supported with new version of limewire pro. Try switching to a new skin under the Views menu and see if that solves your problem.

I'm glad it worked for you. Now I've got a problem that someone may be able to solve. When I download songs and have them imported directly to iTunes, Limewire tries to open the classic version of iTunes, rather than the Mac OSX version. Very strange! I've had to turn off the import to iTunes option to stop 0S9 classic from starting up. Any ideas?

Sergio, that's very easy to fix. You need to change the default. At present you have it set to the classic version (possibly because you were using classic environment whilst using osx.) Simply choose an mp3, or m4a, etc. & go to File menu> Get Info (or command & I keys) & choose open with ... you'll see a list of suggested programs with iTunes classic at the top. Choose iTunes OSX version instead, if you don't see it on the list then go down the bottom & choose the browse option to find it & select it. Then choose the option to always use it to open that type of file. BTW I had something similar happen to me. It was a while back so I can't remember which program it was ... possibly iTunes. But anyway, doing it that way, you can control the exact program & version that opens the file by default. There's at least a 4 or more programs I prefer the previous version to be the default. Speaking generally that is, not necessarily LW related.

Actually I suffer the same problem with my screen going blank when I turn the brightness control up to full. hehehehe lol :D

But yes, Jaguar now seems to have an issue with some skins. Pinstripe I think it is I can't remember.

Thanks Lord, that seems to be a logical solution. I had just found another way before reading your post. I simply deleted the iTunes classic application and Limewire had no choice but to open the OSX version when it imported the songs. Your solution is much better for anyone wishing to keep the classic version of iTunes on the computer.

Bump ... re: contacting LW

It seems it only affects Jaguar users. As a result, it sounds more like a Java issue since Jaguar uses an earlier version of Java.
