internal error?

Im on Limewire PRO but the support website will not recognise my email, so im hopeing someone here could help me out.

Whilst downloading limewire will come up with an 'internal error' window saying "Limewire has encountered an internal error. It is possible for Limewire to recover and continue running normally. To continue using limewire, click discard. If desired you can click review for the information about the error."

and when i click review, it says... :(

LimeWire version 4.10.9 Pro
Java version 1.5.0_06 from Apple Computer, Inc.
Mac OS X v. 10.4.6 on ppc
Free/total memory: 47739744/118226944

But also check the icon at the very bottom of LW's interface. Is there a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of the window?

Sometimes if you get repeated error messages it might be wise to try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

Its also aborting my downloads while i leave them to complete. It wasnt a little window that popped up while a download was playing, its something that completely stops limewire working completely until i click on discard, and then another will come up and another, and then another, until id just have to quit the program all together. And it would loose all my pending downloads.

I think it has something to do with my java virtual memory, but to be honest im really not sure.

But ill try that thanks. :o

That's a problem with the java on OS X

Restarting your machine will clear the virtual memory, but that out-of-memory crash can also corrupt the incomplete downloads, so if they don't resume normally, you'll need to clean out the incomplete folder. :(

Oops I missed the part they were using OSX. Sloppy on my part. :o
