Can't start LW. Says fatal error everytime.

I'm using Limewire 4.12.6 and Mac OS 10.3.9. Ok, I've tried everything I can think of. I keep getting getting a fatal error. When I click review I get this LimeWire version 4.12.6
Java version 1.4.2_09 from Apple Computer, Inc.
Mac OS X v. 10.3.9 on ppc
Free/total memory: 14164320/19988480

FATAL ERROR!

I've done all of the security updates including the java ones. I've reinstalled Limewire several times each time removing all elements of Limewire before each installation. Any ideas as to what to do?

So you re-installed Java?

Reboot in safe mode & repair permissions.

Also delete LW prefs folder found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Have a very close look at "all" the options here Can't launch LW: Bouncing in Dock (click on link) & I'm sure one of them "will" work for you. ;) :)

I fixed this on my machine by deleting everything in the Incomplete folder including Downloads.bak and Downloads.dat
