Limewire won't install

When I click to install the Mac OSX Version of Limewire Basic, the downloads screen appears and it shows below the Limewire Install, Cannot Create File. Above that, it says 8.2KB of 6.4MB but I have 34GB of free space on my laptop. What is the problem?

Is this the 1st time you're installing Limewire (LW) ?

What type of mac is it? How much ram do you have? Which OSX version are you running?

Are you sure you have permissions to install where you're trying to install it. ie: (1) you're the admin of the computer. (2) you are trying to install it in the general applications folder or somewhere that doesn't belong to another user account.

It is a mac book. It is version 10.4.8>

No, I have never had limewire on this computer before. I just click the OSX selection on the download screen and then the download window appers, I don't get to name the file or where it goes.

Then try one of Jum's builds which are betas: http://www1.mager.org/LimeWire/ There's no installation necessary. Just drag & drop from the mounted dmg file. Do NOT download it using Internet Explorer. Explorer cannot handle dmg files properly.
