Default Help me understand Limewire Gods!!

Can someone please direct me to a site or page that explains the new implimentation of the OS X Ultrapeer protocol ... I am running OS X 10.1.2 along with the Pro version of Limewire(paid for). For several days I ran LW and only connected as a client (I think I was a client, not sure how to tell) Now I launch LW and I have a bizillion connections and it now says Ultrapeer at the bottom. I would love to understand this and how it works but have not found the info on the LW website. I would much rather have our wonderful LW techs developing the LW network but would at the same time like to understand this new system better.

any help would be great
