Im new to mac and lw so bare with me. i have imac with intel and an airport extreme. i downloaded lw and all seems fine untill i download music then it says i need more sources or it takes 15min to do one small song. Ive tried many songs and many catagories and still the same. my connection is good, im using cable modem with about 5mbs speed.

I don't use a Mac so you'll have to bear with me too, until a Mac user comes along

Who is your ISP?

Files that sit connecting for ages & then need more sources forever are usually fakes. Try the All Types search, search for artist or album rather than song title, stay away from files with huge numbers of sources. Check out the thread below for more info.

I use safari for my isp and i tried to download from the site you sent me, and im having the same problem at first i was working with a speed of 1-9kbs, then went to 0kbs, then i need more sources?

Safari is a browser. Your ISP is your internet service provider - the company that you pay for your internet

yeah- i can't seem to download anything too and i too have a mac os x. any suggestions would be welcome.

I'm another newbie. I've found that the speed of download doesn't seem to have anything to do with my own computer. Sometimes I have one song downloading at 1 kps (estimated time 55 minutes), while at the same time another d/l at 26 kps completes in 5 minutes.

Is this because it is the speed of the host computer connection that determines the speed, not my own (or toomey's) computer?
