Conection is Not Improving(Mac OSX 10.5.4)

7. Where are you trying to connect from? college
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? 4.18.6 Lw and 1.5.0_13 java
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? yes, sharing, not sure how college sets it up
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user? first time user of LW
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes

Whenever I enter a search, i get the message that limewire is connecting and my results will be slower until my connection is set up. Is the firewall screwing with me connection? because i can't find the settings where i can allow LW access, so could it be anything else or do i have to go to my college IT guys and ask them

Colleges often nowadays block or shape p2p bandwidth & users. Not an easy problem to solve because each college has a different set up. They will have their own firewalls you have no access to, they may or may not also block ports. Asking at your college sounds wise.
