Why is nothing being done about the OSX shutdown problem??

From what I understand (and who I have spoken with) everyone who is running mac OS 10.5.5 or 10.5.6 which came out earlier today is having the problem that limewire shuts down as soon as it is finished loading.

My question is...why is nothing being done? This problem has been around since 10.5.5 was released and we can be pretty sure Apple isn't going to budge with whatever they changed.

Most of us do not want to "archive install" or create another partition to reinstall an older version of Mac OS 10.5.

I tried limewire again a few days ago and it worked just fine; no problems whatsoever. I figured the problem was resolved and then the next time I tried opening it, there it was again.

What is the problem, why is it happening, and why doesn't it get fixed?

Thanks.
