Default Limewire 5 & OS 10.5

I just installed Limewire Pro 5 on my Mac running OS 10.5 and the program starts and then a message comes on saying there is a bug but Limewire will still run. After this the program just hangs. I have emailed tech support but no tech support is given. Any ideas?

Assuming you've done a Safe Boot and Software Update, the LW developers should be interested in knowing of the bug.

If you post over at LimeWire Forums you'll have a better chance of getting their attention. Sorry, I don't know how closely the Pro tech support people communicate with the developers.

Thanks steif, the LW developers can't receive notice of the bug because the program hangs and the bug can't be sent.

Ah, I see. That's another bug they should know about, so it's probably still worth posting about the issue over there.

btw, have you ever used Terminal? If so, start up LW with the Terminal and when the error is generated, Terminal might (will probably) log it, and that can be sent.

Cheers

LimeWire tech support replied but after following their advice the problem is still the same. I don't know how to start with Terminal.

Don't bother with Terminal . . . it can be tricky and requires a fair bit of caution to use, thus not worth the risk.
